Celebrating Foster Care Fortnight

Staff from Powys County Council’s Fostering & Adoption teams will be out and about for the next two weeks as part of Foster Carer Fortnight.

The national awareness campaign runs from May 14th to 25th and staff will be visiting seven towns telling residents what is involved in becoming a Foster Carer.

So if you think fostering or adopting might be right for you visit one of the stands at Welshpool Market on Monday 14th, Morrisons, Newtown on Tuesday 15th, The Miners Welfare Hall, Ystradgynlais on Wednesday 16th and Hay on Wye Market on Thursday 17th.

During the second week staff will be at Tesco, Llandrindod Wells on Monday 21st, Tesco, Pontadawe on Tuesday 22nd, , Brecon Morrisons on Wednesday 23rd before returning to Morrisons, Newtown on Thursday 24th.

If you miss out on the town visits you can catch up with the team at the Smallholders Festival at the Royal Welsh Showground during the weekend of May 19th &20th.
