Supporting People

Supporting People funding was introduced in April 2003.  It is designed to help vulnerable people retain their tenancies and remain in their own home. The scheme will give a better range and quality of support services that focus on local need.

The Powys Supporting People team work to ensure that the funding available through Supporting People is utilised fully.

If successful it will:

• Prevent homelessness
• Keep people out of hospital
• Avoid people going into residential care
• Prevent the use of more costly care/residential options
