Interactive storytelling event postponed

22 March

An interactive storytelling event due to take place at Newtown Library tomorrow (Saturday 23 March) has been postponed.

Children’s author Fiona Collins was due at the library for the Local Myths and Legends Storytelling event tomorrow morning but is unable to make to because of the adverse weather the country is currently experiencing.

The event will now take place on Saturday 4 May.


More woodland management work to take place in Lake Park

Woodland management work is being carried out in Common Wood in the Lake Park Local Nature Reserve in Llandrindod Wells, Powys County Council has announced.

The council was successful in securing a Better Woodlands for Wales grant from the Forestry Commission last year with the help of Coed Cymru. And with their expertise, a management plan was drawn up to improve the condition of the woodland....

Over 600 Powys youngsters have embarked on an innovative approach to hockey.

Six hundred and eight pupils took part in a series of 4689 hockey parties across the county that have been organised by Powys County Council’s Sports Development Team.

Concessionary travel pass holders Powys are being urged to check this pass is valid for travel over the coming weeks by the county council.
