Storytelling event for children at Newtown Library

Children of a primary school age in the Newtown area have the opportunity later this month take part in an interactive storytelling event at Newtown Library.

Children’s author Fiona Collins will be at the library on Saturday 4 May for the Local Myths and Legends Storytelling event.

Tregynon couple celebrate milestone wedding anniversary

Wedding anniversary

A couple from north Powys have celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary.

Tom and Edwina Jones from Golyfar Cwm, Tregynon, celebrated the milestone occasion on Tuesday 16 April.

Chairman of Powys County Council, Cllr Susan McNicholas, presented the couple with a card from the Queen and a bouquet of flowers to celebrate the occasion.
