Why is a licence required?

Any exhibition, demonstration or performance of hypnotism, on any person, requires the consent of the Licensing Authority, and must comply with any conditions the Licensing authority attach.

How to apply

Alternatively, the performer or his agent can apply in writing using the contact details on the right of this page. Applications must include the performers full name, details of their last 3 performances, and details of any permissions which have been refused or withdrawn.

What if I don't hear from Powys County Council within the specified time?

You will be able to act as though your application is granted if you have not heard from Powys County Council within 14 calendar days of submitting your request.

Fees

Powys County Council does not charge for this service.
