The Planning & Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 requires Powys County Council as the Local Planning Authority to prepare a Local Development Plan for Powys (excluding the Brecon Beacons National Park) which, once adopted, will replace the Powys Unitary Development Plan.
The first step towards preparing the Powys Local Development Plan is preparing a Draft Delivery Agreement for the Local Development Plan which must be submitted to the Welsh Assembly Government for its approval. The Draft Delvery Agreement will contain two main parts;
1. A Timetable of the key stages of Plan preparation; and
2. A Community Involvement Scheme which details how and when the community will be able to get involved in the Plan preparation process.
