Property and Land Sales

The Council owns property to provide facilities from which to deliver services to the public in order to meet its corporate objectives. It aims to manage its land and property portfolio efficiently and effectively within the financial resources available. The council maintains ordnance survey maps showing the boundaries of all land owned by the Council.  Also shown are details of all acquisitions and disposals together with leases, lettings, licences and easements.

The Council has adopted an Asset Management - Property Strategy to enable the development of the Asset Management Plan (AMP) which will be the mechanism to ensure the Council achieves its aims and ensure that property:

• Supports the delivery of the Council's service objectives
• Is well maintained and fit for purpose
• Is suitably located and accessible
