The council is able to provide a free collection of clinical waste to all private domestic properties within Powys.
The council will pick up your waste in specially provided yellow sacks and sharps boxes each week. It is necessary that these are left outside your front door or in an agreed place by 7.30am on the collection day.
A new supply of sacks will be provided each week along with plastic ties with which to secure the sack. To ensure the safe handling, transport and disposal of clinical waste, it is not possible to remove the sacks or sharps boxes unless they are secure and have the duty of care label attached, these will be sent along with your starter pack.
To arrange a collection please ask your doctor or district nurse to contact the Customer Service Desk on 0845 602 7035.
