Starfish Swimming Lessons
Llanfyllin Sports Centre now follows the very popular Powys Starfish swimming scheme for children's swimming lessons. If your child is at least 4 years old then ring the centre to place your childs name on the waiting list.
Zumba fitness special offer!
A special offer price of £2.50 a session is being offered until christmas to take part in zumba fitness on a wednesday night. Take advantage of this new offer to try out one of the most popular exercises around! 6.30pm - 7.30pm
New under 8s policy
The ratio of under 8s to an adult is 1 adult to 1 child 3 and under. Children aged between 4 and 7 must be accompanied by an adult on a maximum of 2 children to 1 adult.
Example - 2 children ages 3 and 7 would require 2 adults in the pool

Attention Swimmers
Due to Powys health and safety regulations armbands are no longer available on poolside. However they are available to purchase from reception for £3.00 a pair.
Under 3s swim free
The age of which children can swim free had been reduced from under 5 to under 3 due to changes in powys regulations.
Swimming Gala
Spread over two evenings, Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th December, Llanfyllin Sports Centre’s inaugural swimming gala proved to be a roaring success. Over 80 ‘Starfish’ swimmers, aged between 6 and 17 years of age competed in a series of events with gold, silver and bronze medals up for grabs. Cheered on by parents, grand-parents and friends many personal best times were recorded and pool records smashed!! Superbly organised and co-ordinated, by the sports centre staff, the evenings events progressed smoothly and all concerned waited with baited breath for the presentations. Medals were awarded in a lavish ceremony, to the accompaniment of some Christmas classics, and all competitors, irrespective of placing, received a memento of the evening. Many thanks to all the children and parents who attended the gala and made it such a memorable event and special thanks to all the centre staff and volunteers for all your hard work…….ROLL ON AND KEEP SWIMMING IN 2012.
