Powys Change Plan
The Powys Change Plan sets out the council's key objectives that will shape how council services are delivered in the county over the next three years. It marks the latest stage of the council's journey to improve services and sets out a continued commitment to working in partnership, to deliver effective services.
The plan is published in two main stages.

We publish the Powys Change Plan Stage 1 at the beginning of the financial year to let you know what our key plans are for making real improvements to the services we deliver.
Not everything we intend to do is included in the Plan, instead it focuses on the priorities and projects you have told us are most important to you.
We think it’s important to ask for your views on the services we deliver so we can change or improve them.
This year, we consulted with our Citizens’ Panel members and the general public on our corporate priorities, to ensure that we focused on the things that matter most to our residents. The main findings were
- 87% think we are right to consider the modernisation and improvement of social services a priority for the council
- 85% think we are right to consider the drive to improve school standards (making sure that schools are sustainable financially and in terms of standards) a priority for the council
- 66% think we are right to consider a review of our leisure provision a priority for the council
- 73% think we are right to consider regeneration a priority for the council
- 65% think we are right to consider our actions to combat climate change as a priority for the council
- 72% think we are right to consider the remodelling of the council a priority

Stage 2 of our Powys Change Plan is published at the end of October and gives a detailed account of our performance in the previous financial year, highlighting areas where we are doing well and areas where improvement is needed.
