Licensing with Powys County Council
Powys County Council regulates and licences activities under various regulations and Acts which control the operation of certain kinds of business; the selling, use and storage of dangerous substances; managing animals; gambling; housing and other activities.
The purpose of these controls is to maintain and improve the standards of public safety. This is achieved by a balanced use of enforcement and education in relation to the appropriate legislation.
