Fitness Suite
The new 21 station fitness suite at Ystradgynlais Sports Centre has brand new Pulse Fitness equipment.
The Fitness suite now has a variety of equipment to work all areas of the body. These range from; cardio vascular, strength and free dumbbells.

3 Cross Trainers
3 Cycles(one of which is recumbant)
3 Concept 2 Rowers

Seated Leag Press
Dumbbells:
There are a range of dumbbelss for use within the facility, these start at 2.5Kg and go up to 30Kg.
There are also two benches that can be used to inhance your workout.
The centre also has available for use fit ball(Gymnastic ball), a step and mats for floor work if you so desire.
The Centre can also boast that there are qualified staff on hand to offer advice and training tips during your work out, aall you need do is ask.
All staff are qualified from level 2 to level 4 in fitness instruction.

All of the strength machines in the new facility have the IFI(Inclusive Fitness Initiative) Mark on them. The mark is given to the machines that are accessible to all.
The IFI operate an accreditation scheme; IFI MARK which recognises the acheivements and commitment of leisure facilities who enable disabled people to become physically active. The accreditation provides and INCLUSIVE platform for disabled ans non-disabled people to be active together.
All the Fitness equipment carry the above mark which makes the fitness suite here at Ystrdagynlais Accessible to all.
Activity Sports Hall
Ystradgynlais Sports Centre has a brand new Activity Studio that plays host to a variety of fitness classes during the day time and evenings.
This has never been possible before due to the way the facilities were attached to the High School.
Although the Sports centre and the high school are still attached, it has been developed in such a way that during the times of sports centre access the school are unable to do so.
All the instructors are qualified to a minimum level 2 certificate in all the activities that are on offer.
The new facility has an ambient air temperature which provides the ideal environment to exercise in.
Multi Purpose Sports Hall
This is a welcome addition to the new facilities here at the sports centre.
A new multi purpose sports hall, complete with 4 badmonton courts, basket ball, 5 a side football, hockey etc.
The sports hall is also used for a variety of other sessions and fitness classes and is also available for hire and would make a perfect venue for a childs birthday.

Spin Studio
Ystradgynlais Sports Centre has a new addition to it's facilities in the way of a Spinning Studio.
The studio is located near the Swimming Pool Reception and can cater for 11 riders at present.
A booking system is in operation and is advised that you book early to avoid disapointment.

Astro Turf Facility
Looking for a first class, Floodlit all weather facility!
Look no further, Here at the centre there is currently a full sized Astro Turf pitch available for hire during the evenings and weekends.
The facility comes with chnging rooms & floodlights as part of the price.
During the summer time looking to keep match fit with friends, then why not take advantage of the summer astro turf offer!

Sauna
Come and unwind in our authentic Swedish Sauna.
located at the deep end of the swimming pool, you can watch every body swimming while you relax in our automatic tempreture controlled sauna.
Take advantage of the 8 person mixed sauna during limited times during week days, every evening and weekends.
There are two choices available:
Just a sauna on it's own or for a little extra add a swim.
Swimming Pool (25m)
The swimming pool is a standard 25m x 8.5m rectangle pool, that is indoor and heated to 31 Degrees C all year round, making this the ideal venue to bring the family.
The swimming pool caters for public swimming, fun sessions, swimming lessons and clubs
