To celebrate the London 2012 Olympic Games, Powys County Council organised a host of events to inspire a new generation of athletes to get involved in sport, as well as host three stages of the Olympic Torch Relay. Click on the video below to view some of these attractions.

Royal Welsh reception for Olympic Torchbearers
To coincide with the Olympic Games starting in Cardiff, Powys County Council held a reception to celebrate the Games and active lives within the county at the Royal Welsh Showground.
Amongst the invited guests were a selection of Torchbearers from Powys who participated in the Olympic Torch Relay, which passed through Machynlleth, Llanymynech and Welshpool in May.
