Why should I register?
- You are required by law to provide information to the Electoral Registration Officer to ensure that you are registered.
- You cannot vote unless your name is included on the register.
- By law, credit reference agencies are entitled to use the register - people who are not registered face difficulties in getting credit, loan or mortgage approval and even opening a bank account.
