You can make payments to Powys County Council using one of the following methods:

Pay by Direct Debit

The safest and most convenient way for you to pay is by Direct Debit. You save time and there are no cheques to write, no cash to pay, no posting letters or queuing at counters.

You can always be assured with Direct Debit that you are guaranteed an immediate refund in the unlikely event of a mistake being made.

Pay Online

You can pay securely online for council tax, council rent, and a wide range of other payments.

Pay by phone

To pay by debit/credit card call 0845 602 7031 or 01597 827 461 (during office hours). Please ensure you have both your invoice and credit / debit card to hand when you call.

Pay in person

Visit your nearest customer service point, and pay by card, cheque or cash.

Pay at a Post Office or Paypoint

Council tax, business rates and housing rent can also be paid at a Post Office, Paypoint or Epay using a Powys County Council issued swipe card.

Struggling to pay?

It is your responsibility to pay any money you owe to Powys County Council within the stipulated time (30 days in respect of general invoices).
