Sports volunteering can cover a range of activities from coaching, player development, running training sessions through to club administration, fundraising and the organisation of events, competitions and leagues. You can be involved at any level; whether it's slicing the oranges, washing the kit or coaching the team. We need more of you out there!
Coaches and volunteers play a crucial part in supporting the involvement of children and young people in sport. Powys have launched a new scheme called Active Leaders that provides people with the opportunity to access volunteering and coaching experiences in their local communities and schools. Any coach or volunteer wishing to find out more about the scheme, please see related sub pages below.

We are also proud to announce that Powys have been accredited with the London 2012 ‘inspire mark' for the Powys Games which is going to be running throughout 2012.
The Inspire programme features a mix of projects from communities across the UK. It recognises exciting and innovative projects inspired by London 2012, one of these being ours. In order for the Powys Games to be a success we need to recruit, train, deploy, retain and reward committed volunteers throughout Powys. By volunteering you will inspire others to participate in sport and provide a lasting legacy for London 2012 in Powys.
