For practitioners working with adult with health and social care needs to be familiar with the “Ask and Act” framework.

Understand the impact of domestic abuse in the lives of people with health and social care needs

Develop relationships that facilitate disclosure in the face of barriers caused by domestic abuse

Develop skills in assessing the risk of harm from domestic abuse

Key Learning Outcomes

Have knowledge of the CADDA –DASH risk assessment tool

Understand the function of MARAC and when and how to make a referral

Develop skills in safety planning with people at risk

Understand the management of information to protect individuals safety and to work with a multi-agency framework
