AIM Assessment and Interventions for Children under 12 and their families, where the child has problematic or harmful sexual behaviours.

A two day course to facilitate the participants in developing their understanding and confidence in assessments and interventions with children under 12 and their families were the child is displaying sexually problematic or harmful behaviours.

To consider definitions of healthy, problematic and harmful sexual behaviours in children.

Key Learning Outcomes

To provide information from research and practice on why younger children may act in a sexual way

To introduce the AIM Initial and Core assessment models for younger children, and give participants an opportunity to use them

To provide information on programmes of interventions with children, their families and their network

To facilitate participants in trying out techniques for working with children and their families

There is no charge to attend these courses, however a cancellation charge may apply to non-attendance if sufficient notice is not given
