To understand Powys Council’s policy and procedure for managing allegations against foster carers.

Key Learning Outcomes

Attendees will have a good understanding of the different types of allegations and complaints made.

Will understand the steps in the council’s procedure and why they apply.

Can confidently identify the steps to be taken when an allegation is made (as a foster carer or professional).

Can know how to hold supportive discussions and continue contact appropriately with foster carers when an allegation has been made.

There is no charge to attend these courses, however a cancellation charge may apply to non-attendance if sufficient notice is not given
