Some of our museums run events for families during school holidays.

Holiday activities include:

  • Arts and crafts workshops suitable for most ages and abilities of children.
  • Play and dressing up activities for younger children.
  • Special events from other organisations and individuals.

Get in touch with your local museum to find out more about what’s on offer.

All the museums have services for schools, using real and replica artefacts, authentic historical clothing and interesting activities to bring a topic to life for your pupils or students.

Our outreach service can bring the museum experience to your school.  Most of our topics translate well to the classroom environment and we bring all the equipment, artefacts and other materials with us.

Get in touch with your local museum or go to our Schools Service page to find out more about what’s on offer.

All the museums welcome groups and many run workshops and activities for a range of different groups and organisations. Some activities are based at the museums and some take place at other community venues.

Have a look at the page for your local museum to find out what’s on offer.
