The National Trading Standards Estate Agency Team is the lead enforcement authority under the Estate Agents Act 1979 and is charged with the responsibility of assessing the fitness of individuals and businesses to carry out estate agency work, issuing warning or prohibition orders against those found to be unfit.

Please note, we are not the lead authority for the lettings industry.
