This popular riverside play area is located on the recreation ground which is known locally as the Groe. This facility is separated from the recreation ground by a metal fence and is a grassed, level site. As it is located near to the centre of the town and has adequate pay and display parking adjoining the recreation field, it is well used by both the local community and also by visitors to the town.
The Groe is also extensively used by both the local community and by visitors to the town. It houses the town’s local rugby pitch, four hard surfaced tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool, the local bowling green, the Wye Valley Walk and splendid views of the river Wye. For more information on the Groe, please visit the relevant page on this web site.
