The Offas Dyke Play Area is the premier area of play in Knighton. It forms part of the Offas Dyke Recreation Field which hosts a grassed kick-about area, footpaths linking the user with the Offas Dyke long distance footpath and lies below the timber built Offas Dyke Tourist Centre. The site offers beautiful views of the surrounding hillsides, providing seasonal variations to those views so that there is something different to see at different times of the year.
This is a level site that is approached by a steep driveway, so it is recommended that access for the disabled visitor is confined to vehicular access only. There are adequate parking facilities for this site, which has a combined use with the Tourist Centre. Toilets are also available for use at the Tourist Centre, but only during opening hours.
Items of play at this site include; a large multi-play equipment; a basket swing, climbing frame and agility items.
