The Lakeside Play Area is Llandrindod’s premier play park. As its name suggests it is located near to the town’s 13 acre Victorian Lake, and is easily approached by either road or foot. There is adequate roadside parking and access to the play area for the disabled visitor is good.
The play area lies within the Lake Park Local Nature Reserve and if you’re feeling energetic, you could also combine a woodland walk, a walk around the lake to see all of the important flora and fauna it hosts, or stay for a picnic (weather permitting) or sample a lunch at the nearby Lakeside Restaurant.
The play area has integral pathways and seating and the age-defined areas of play equipment are covered in safety bark. There are toilets nearby linked to the Lakeside Restaurant.
The items of play available include; swings, a slide, a variety of multi-play equipment; a roundabout; springies; spinning bowl and climbing frame.
