A public meeting is taking place on Tuesday 1st November at Knighton Community Centre from 6 – 8pm for residents to come along and hear more about the rationale and ask questions to the cabinet member, the director and head of service.
We have to reduce our spending across all services by approximately £29.8m over the next three years. This is mainly because there is an ongoing squeeze on public spending and a reduction in the grant that the council receives to deliver services.
A number of other services like libraries, schools and day care settings are also being tasked with making savings and this is one proposal amongst many.
