Childcare Sufficiency Assessment

This consultation has now closed. Thank you for your interest.

The Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA) is a vital piece of work for Powys County Council. In order to carry out a full assessment we take a detailed look at every type of childcare provision across Powys. In doing this we can identify any gaps in existing provision which helps inform our detailed action plan for the coming years that sets out how we aim to improve childcare across the county.

An important part of this process is for a draft version of the CSA to go out for public consultation, so members of the public can give us feedback on the document. There is a short consultation survey to accompany the draft CSA and we would appreciate it if you took the time to complete it after reading the document.

The childcare views of the county's parents, providers, children and young people, employers, neighbouring local authorities and other agencies were collected during 2016 as part of the CSA process.

A CSA report has now been drafted and we are seeking feedback about the report from individuals and persons representing any group with an interest in childcare.

Please read the CSA report and complete as much as you can of this feedback form. There is space at the end to record any additional comments you may have.

All responses are anonymous and we only ask for your postcode so we know where in Powys comments have come from.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact John Haddon on 01597 826483.
