Machynlleth Cemetery Survey 2017

The current Victorian cemetery is nearly at full capacity with around two years of burial space left.   There are approximately seven burials currently a year.

We'd like your views on options for the future.

There are two potential sites in the town where a new cemetery could be built:

  • Land behind the Plas
  • Land at Machynlleth CP school

There is also scope :-

  • To look to build a new cemetery in an outlying area
  • For residents to use alternative private churchyards for burials
  • For residents to travel to Newtown for future burials

On this page you will find:
