Developing the Powys Schools Infrastructure

The council has a duty to ensure that schools are organised as efficiently as possible in order to provide the best possible educational opportunities to all pupils.

The council’s most recent Schools Organisation Policy was approved by the council’s Cabinet in September 2015. Following the county council elections held in May 2017, the policy has been refreshed to ensure that it aligns with the new Cabinet’s vision for Powys, 'Vision 2025'.
