#CommunityConnections is a network of teams within Powys County Council that are working with partners and communities to increase capability, capacity, confidence and civic pride, and improve the way they function and their well-being within Powys.
Where communities take on the role of delivering a service or taking over and managing a public space or building that the council can no longer afford to run or maintain.
The Grow in Powys initiative supports and enables strong and vibrant communities to provide capacity to grow for businesses and to enhance, promote and protect the physical, social and cultural identity of Powys.
Plan and set up a Community Hub which meets the needs of your community. Find out what works elsewhere, Keep it well run, legal and trouble free, Make your Community Hub financially sustainable and lots of other sources of support.
Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations provides many forms of help from Information Sheets to Training Courses, from lists of Venues, Resources and a Library catalogue to details of their Book Keeping Service.
The Council is working with key partners to ensure a better co-ordinated and accessible community network of preventative and early help services to improve health and wellbeing.
To provide a single source of information to individuals and communities wanting to take action and build upon the great community spirit that exists in Powys.
The pages linked here are the teams that currently form the network. You can find information from how to obtain a council owned building to house your community group/event/social enterprise to support services for adults and children.
The network is expanding and more web pages will be added. If you have any suggestions of pages that should be included on this page please submit your suggestion in an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
