Golwg y Bannau offers a home from home residential and respite opportunity for children and young people with Autism.
The children and young people who come to stay with us need to have met the following criteria:
At Golwg y Bannau the children and young people for whom we care are at the centre of all we do.
Our aim is to provide a home from home experience for all our children and young people; encouraging them to make new friends, take part in activities, kickback and relax in a safe and caring environment, while supporting them develop life and social skills to the best of their ability.
Golwg y Bannau is fully accessible, with one large lounge in which to relax, an open plan kitchen/dining room, soft play room, living room with ball pit and computers, plus six modern, spacious bedrooms (one of which is ensuite)
We like to get out and about, sometimes on foot, or in our vehicle. We take part in local activities including bowling, horse riding or going to the cinema. From time to time we go out for nice meals in Brecon or nearby Merthyr Tydfil.
“Golwg y Bannau has given me a life line, I cannot praise the Managers and Staff highly enough for the support they have given my son in allowing him to progress and develop into the young man he is today.”
