Get involved with Children's Services

The Children and Young People's Participation Officer is here to make sure that Children's Services listen to what young people think and feel about the way the service works.

Have you received a service from us?  You can leave us feedback to tell us how we did!

‘Participation means having the right to be involved in making decisions, planning and reviewing an action that might affect me. Having a Voice, Having a Choice.’

Welsh Assembly Government competition winning soundbite, 2004

The Participation Officer can help young people to:

  • Speak out about issues that affect them
  • Be properly listened to, valued and understood
  • Get involved in planning and developing services
  • Make complaints
  • Know their rights
  • Get information on a range of issues
  • Organise events for them to get together with other looked after young people.
