Our aim is to work with people in Powys to live independently and to be safe and well. We will do this by encouraging people, and their communities, to help themselves.
We will ensure people have access to advice and, where necessary, high quality care and support which is financially sustainable (for providers, residents and Powys County Council).
Evidence shows us that the more independent people are, and the better connected with their local communities and services, the better their health and well-being.
This Market Position Statement will play an important part in achieving our aim of an active, diverse and sustainable market, able to provide good outcomes for people who require domiciliary care in Powys. Strategic drivers, such as new legislation, financial constraints and integration with Powys Teaching Health Board provide opportunities as well as challenges.
“The information within the Statement will be useful for both existing and potential providers of domiciliary care services, providing a useful insight into the market in Powys, its geography, expected demographic changes and future direction. I look forward to helping you pursue your interest further.”
